Korean flower cake classes systematically teach a variety of techniques, from basic to advanced levels, including object creation. Through these classes, designers solidify their foundational skills and often travel to Korea to acquire advanced techniques.
We have had the opportunity to learn Korean piping techniques alongside international students from countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Japan.
The curriculum covers piping techniques using various cream bases, including Korean-style bean paste flowers, whipped cream flowers, and buttercream flowers. The classes are conducted based on systematic design principles, and upon completion, participants receive the FCDA (Flower Cake Design Academy) certification.
It was a valuable time sharing stories about flower cake design, exchanging the joy and charm of the craft, and learning flower piping techniques together. I am always grateful to the many students who have traveled to Korea to participate in these classes.
